Ductless Air Conditioning

Also called "Mini Splits", this type of air conditioning does not utilize ductwork and can be installed in almost any application. Choose this option if you do not currently have central AC, have a hydronic (boiler) heating system, or have inadequate ductwork.

Ductless Mini Splits

For a time it didn't seem so bad to occasionally install the ole window-shaker (what we call window-mounted ACs) to get through the hottest stretches of a New Hampshire summer, but as energy costs have risen and excessive humidity has taken a toll on our homes, the need to switch to more efficient methods with less hassle has become apparent. For those with existing ductwork serving a hot-air furnace, adding central AC can be the most cost-effective way to cool your whole home. For those with an existing central AC system installed prior to 2010, it's time to start thinking about a replacement.

A way to get even more value from a central cooling investment is to upgrade your plans to a heat pump to provide both cooling and heating from your central system, as heat pumps often beat the cost of heating with fossil fuels in addition to providing another means of heating should one system encounter a problem.
